Why the need to paint animals? I have no idea, but from a very early age I have had a deep connection with wildlife and a desire to replicate the spirit of each species in paint. The challenge of starting with a blank piece of paper and a pencil on a journey to capture the very essence of each individual just fills me with excitement. Although this is a very private exploration, I hope that my art will give the viewer a deeper understanding of just how beautiful and fragile these creatures are.
